I want to sleeve the eye section for added protection at this wear point. This braided nylon looked like it might work with the core pulled out. Nope. It was too tight. The 1/4" stuff almost fit over the fid but it was too tight to slide easily. Went back to the store for 5/16" and it too was too tight - it appears the core was almost the same and the braid was thicker so bigger line doesn't necessarily mean a larger I.D.
